Lancent C. Warren, Sr. entered the investment field in 1999 with Edward Jones investments based out of St. Louis, MO. Lance started in a small office in Palm Bay, Fl. Edward Jones advisors are well trained and their preferred method of prospecting is door to door solicitation. Going door to door on the streets of Palm Bay was a very humbling way to enter the business; but for Lance, it was a successful journey. The successes came quick for Lance as he worked hard to learn the conservative ways of the firm. Lance was still considered a rookie in the field when the events of 2001 unfolded. This was an extremely challenging time for the industry as well as clients. Lance took some very important lessons away from that experience, two of which were: Know your customer and Build relationships that will stand the test of time and the markets. After spending the better part of three years at Edward Jones Lance met with a recruiter for Smith Barney and decided it was time to make a move.
Smith Barney was an entirely different organism. There, Lance honed his skills as an advisor by using Total Wealth Management strategies and by looking at the client’s complete picture. In 2005 Lance decided he had gone as far as he wanted to as a captive financial advisor. Wanting nothing else to do with proprietary products, Lance instead wanted the ability to meet the needs of his clients with the products and vendors that he determined was in his clients’ best interest.
Consequently, Lance joined LPL Financial in December of 2005 and incorporated Brevard Wealth Planning. Lance is currently experiencing the need to expand his brand as he has added clients in various states across the country, and is therefore changing his corporation to L.C. Warren Group Inc.
